Believe

A Poem

There won't be any sunshine
In the darkness and pain,
But darkness and pain
Will not forever remain.
That's what you should
Always believe in.
There won't be any brightness
In the darkest hour,
Even the candlelight could
Be blown off by the wind.
That doesn’t mean that
Brightness won't come
Back again.
Hold courage and
Determination with
Your heart and soul,
And move ahead
Without giving up
Towards your goal.
Things do change as
The time passes by,
And you can make
The difference if you
Do try.
Always believe in
Yourself and never
Ever give up, my friend
And you'll surely
Succeed in the end.
The ascend of the
Mountain would be
Very steep and
Difficult,
But you would come
Down the other
Side of success
With much ease.
Everything appears
Impossible unless
You do try.
Falling down doesn't
Matter, when you'll
Surely touch the sky.
Only then you'll realize
Nothing is impossible
As the time
Goes by.
Pick up your reason
To believe in,
And try it as would
Normally do,
You'll surely achieve
What you set
Out to achieve.

Don't give up!

A Poem

Sorrows, pain and failure
give us a painful
pinch,
Let's stand tall and fight
and they'll vanish
inch by inch.
Let us wake up with this
new determination
every dawn;
Lets not worry about
things that is past
now and have gone.
Like every gloominess
of the gray,
Certainly has the dawn
of the brightest day.
Hard work is the grain
that grows in the
life's field,
Success is its fruit
which yields.
Let us not give up
in this moment
and rest,
Let us try one more
time with our
effort of the best,
As life is throwing
in new challenges
at us to test.
It is courage and
determination we need
to cross this,
Huddle in life, and
God is surely there
for us to bless.

A River

A Poem

Let me draw my
inspiration
from a flowing
river,
A river which
flows, flows and
continues
to flow.
Flowing water
can never
be thwarted,
They either
gradually erode
obstacles in,
their path,
or they try to
find a way
around there
obstacles,
or sometimes
just flow over
them,
or eventually
sweep them
away.
Nothing can
stop a flowing
river from
its free flow,
Even if it happens
its only for
a while,
Like me, river
too thinks
how to continue
its flow.

Self- Confidence

A Poem

It's like air inside
a colour balloon,
Because of which
It soars high in
The sky.
One pin’s prick
is enough to bring
it down,
Down it would
go within
no time.
Same would
Happen to you
Too,
If you lack self-
Confidence.
But if you believe
In yourself,
And you believe
You can make
The difference,
The difference that
Could even change
The world,
The world you
Thought would
Always remain
The same,
And no one can
Change.
Remember, even
You could bring
That change,
The change that
Would spread like
Sun’s rays.
All that needs is
Confidence,
Confidence that
You can do
Anything,
Anything you
Set out
To achieve,
Is possible if
You do believe,
Believe in the
Belief that you
Can achieve,
Then nothing is
Impossible, except
The word itself.
Have self-confidence,
And you can even
Move the mountains,
If not the little rocks
On the way.
Stay focussed on
What you want to
Achieve,
And even failure
Would fear to step
In your way.

Courage

A Poem

It’s like a flat stone,
Which does frog-leaps
On the surface of water
Before going down,
The lack of it is,
Like a round stone
Which goes straight
Down.
It’s like a candle’s
Flame fighting the
Raging wind.
Whether it survives
Or not isn’t
Important.
But standing up
And putting a
Fight is.
Courage is like
Sharp bite from
A tiny ant,
It bites to remind
You its presence,
And save it’s
Little life.
It knows it could
Be killed for that,
Even then it puts
Up it’s brave
Little fight.
Courage isn’t
Bowing down
In disgrace,
But standing firm
On your feet
And lifting up
Your face
And making a
Resolve to face
Whatever may
Come.
Courage means
Standing brave
A little longer
Even after others
Give up.

Aborted

A Poem

I wonder why
You didn’t
Want me.
It’s a pity that
You didn’t even
Give me a chance
To call you, ‘Mother’.
Should I thank you,
For not bringing
Me into this
Cruel world.
Or should I
Hate you for
Getting me
Killed brutally
In your womb.
I wish even
I could’ve
Been someone,
Yes, someone
If you had
Given me
A chance,
A chance to
Live just
Like you in
This world.

Patience

A Poem

It's like you build a building,
Brick by brick.
You build your life too,
with patience day by day.
It's like the speed breaker,
That comes between the
Speed of your car,
It makes you to slow down,
For your own safety and to go far.
It comes between anything,
Which you want to do in hurry.
And even frustrates you.
It's purpose is not to make
You to completely halt.
But to slow down
and make you to think.
Like say anger that attacks
and takes over your mind
atleast for a while,
For your patience can
even slow down your anger.
Sometimes it makes you
not to give up,
Even when you get the
feeling that everything
is over,
But still you continue
with your purpose,
Even the stuborn wall
may turn it's back,
And you'll find yourself
on the other side,
No longer facing the wall.

Sunlight

A Poem

Light,
Sunlight,
Pierces through,
The blue sky.
Painting with colours,
The butterflies,
That fly.

Light,
Sunlight,
Pierces through,
The dancing wind.
Kisses through the eyes,
The beautiful mind.

Light,
Sunlight,
Gives beautiful,
Colours to the rainbow.
Come, pierce with joy,
Into my heart filled with sorrow.

Light,
Sunlight,
Makes the birds,
To spread their wings.
Also wakes up,
The lazy cuckoo, that sings.

Light,
Sunlight,
Pierces through,
The passing water.
Brings brightness,
To all the things that matter.

December

A Poem

It's really so cold outside,
With snow covered
Almost everywhere.
With Christmas trees
Decorated with stars,
Bells and other pretty
Things.
The pleasant sound of
The jingle bells.
America looks its best
During this time of
The year.
I like December,
As it makes me to
Remember the events
Of the whole year,
Some memorable,
Some already forgotten.
I like December,
As it brings Christmas,
Also the end of the year,
And heralds a new year.

Dust

A Poem

Be not proud, my dear man
Of what you are
Or for what you possess
As everything is an illusion
Nothing is real
Nothing is certain
The creator created you
From nothing but dust
A day will surely come
When you’ll be nothing
More than Ashes and Dust
The winds of time will wipe
Out even the traces of
These Ashes and Dust.

In My Remembrance

A Poem

Let me make a crippled believe,
It's only his body that's crippled,
And not his mind or soul,
So that he can achieve outstanding
Success than those who aren't
Crippled.

Let me hold the hand,
of helpless and unwanted,
And share their grief,
of loneliness.
So that they may feel someone
is there to care,
In this world of selfish people
Who only stare.

Let me give my heart,
To someone who'd suffered,
endless pain.
May I try to bring some joy
into their lives as long
as I remain.

Let me give my eyes,
To someone who has,
seen only the darkness,
and not the beautiful
Sunrise or sunset in the skies.

Those who want to remember me,
Let them do it with a good deed.
My soul shall smile; when I'm no more,
When the help goes to those in need.

The Unspoken Tree

A Poem

I would like you to see,
My tree of life.
Which has grown so big
So broad, you see.
Would you like to have
Some fruits, my friend.
Let me tell you some
Of them are sour,
And they remind my
Sorrows and pain.
Some of my fruits
Are sweet too,
Reminding my cheer
And happiness.
The green leaves remind
The days of my life.
The fallen leaves
Are my memories.
I would go the day
The last leaf breaks.
I'd stood tall on
My roots and achieved
Things in this limited
Space provided to me.
Every tree has some
Story to tell,
But unfortunately
We are destined to be
Unspoken, you see.

Where?

A Poem

Where has the
Bright moon gone?
Stars too have
Gone somewhere.
So has the gentle
Breeze that sways
The branches of trees
And rustles leaves
To say, I'm there...
Now, I'm all alone,
In this dark night.
Even the feeble
Light in my heart
Is slowly fading out,
Making my heart,
A darkest cave.

When I cease to be

A Poem

I wish I've nothing
more to write,
When the day I cease
to be.
Let me not have any
ideas of bright;
Which the world may
never see.
The writing that
brought me glory,
May perhaps remain
to tell my story.
If not, they may too
vanish without
a trace,
And no one will ever
remember my face.

Hug

A Poem

When I'm hurt
and low,
When there is
only darkness
and not
much glow
When the pain
hugs me and
doesn't let
me go.
When the tears
which loves me,
Can't bear to
see me in pain
and starts
to flow.
Life gives me
blow after blow.
I'm beaten,
But not defeated.
I need a hug
To feel I'm
not alone,
and someone's
heart beat
with mine,
I need this
to assure that
things will be fine.

Remembrance

Poem

I wonder whether
remembrance is
a gift or a curse?
As it pierces like
a sharp needle
in my heart.
Someone who'd
dwelled in my heart,
Had walked
far-far away.
My eyes unaccustomed
to tears,
Shed a drop or two.
In the pain of
having lost them
forever,
In the fading
winter mist.
While I still
remember those
who'd gone far
away,
And who would've
even forgotten
me by this time.

The Morning Glory

A Poem

The lens of my eyes
Captures the morning glory
As a new day comes
With an untold story
The sky is fresh with
The smokeless air
I sit by the window
of my room and just stare
From the clouds above
The bright sun peeps
As the night vanishes
I wonder where its
Darkness it keeps
A new calm descends
in my mind
and a smile on my lips
As I taste the hot cup
of coffee in little sips.

Grief

A Poem

In my little heart
I've so much grief,
Which keeps over
flowing like the
waves of the sea.
I've tried hard to
forget it and
get some relief.
How long can
I wait,
Days and nights,
turn like the pages,
And tumble down
like autumn leaves.
Whatever joy
comes it is only
in brief.

Why can’t I be?

A Poem

One evening I was depressed,
And was walking in a lonely path
Suddenly, the wind blew up the dry
Leaves fallen on the ground
Swirled and took them to the sky
It was magic and wonderful
Seeing the dry leaves dancing
In front of my eyes
Then a thought crossed my mind
Why can’t I be like the wind,
Which had lifted the fallen
Leaves from the ground
And made them to touch the sky!
Why can’t I help those who have
Fallen from the grace,
Those who have failed
And those who are left behind,
Help them to find their lost hope
And bring back the smile to their face.

Life Swings

A Poem

Life swings
Like a pendulam
of an old clock
on the wall,
Between joy
and sorrow,
Success and
Failure,
Love and
Hatred,
Finally loses
it's breath
to face death,
The clock on
the wall is
wound again,
So that it can
Swing once again.

A walk in life

A Poem

When the world drenched
my soul with sadness
and pain,
You sang the song of joy,
which brought down the
Droplets of rain,
That washed all my
Sufferings away.
When my eyes saw
what it didn’t like
To see,
You made me to close
my eyes and feel
the rainbow with
my heart.
In your eyes I can see
the pulse of the stars
shining over the bank
of a river.
Your laughter has
Brought out the fountain
of love from my heart.
You have filled my life
with a cart load of
Memories,
Each one like a shinning
Red apple; tempting
me for another bite.
Let me clasp your hand
and walk in the path
of life till it’s end
and beyond.

Last Day

A Poem

I’ll never know whether today,
Shall be my last day,
I would go to sleep
as usual never wake up,
again to see
the birth of another day.
I won’t have any
dreams to remember,
Neither have any
words to say.
Or while crossing
some busy road,
Some speeding
car would come,
Knock me off
the ground,
I would land
in the grave,
Perhaps, dug for me.
I haven’t pondered over,
What I have achieved.
That I haven’t.
What I have gained,
That I have lost.
I set out to win
people’s hearts,
Ended up
breaking my own.
I intended to do
deeds of good,
Inturn, ended up
doing that of bad.
The amazing
friends I made,
Plus, enemies I got.
Birth comes
with relationships,
it’s attachments,
While death
breaks them all,
leads us towards
detachment.
I came here
empty handed,
So shall I go.

I

A Poem

When I fall,
I stand up.
When I fail,
I don't give up.
When I lose,
Still I hope.
In sufferings,
I try to cope.
When I'm lost,
I find myself.
When reality
Deceives,
Yet, I dream.
In pain,
I try to smile.
In success,
I let go my tears.
In sharing,
I find my joy.
In this life,
I'm a winded toy.
In strangers,
I seek attachment.
In life,
I seek detachment.
In fear,
I find my courage.
When I despair,
Yet I believe.
In anger,
I maintain cool.
I know I'm
Nothing,
Yet I try to
Be something.

Nothing

A Poem

Nothing is certain,
in this uncertain world.
The number of counts
of one's breath,
The number of flaps
from a bird's wings.
One thing is certain,
many do say,
As whatever takes birth
has to meet death someday,
but even one's day of death
is uncertain too.

No More

A Poem

There comes a time,
When the wind blows no more.
The leaves rustle no more,
Birds sing no more,
Day or night dosen't
make much difference,
As the clock on wall
ticks no more,
Though everything remains
as it is,
But I would be no more.
